Lai Lung Lian @ OZ Liante was born in Chin State, Myanmar. Due to the constant civil war in Myanmar, he came to the US with refugee status in 2010. At a very young age, he had a passion for music and started playing guitar at 10.

Since then, he had been unstoppable. He played at many concerts in Burma and the US. Before, he used to play in a band and tour across the country.

He also provides and gives music training among the Chin Community Churches across the US.  Despite knowing how to play different instruments, he never learned how to read musical staff notes. After a few sets back he went back to school and studied music at the University of Indianapolis.

After graduating from the University of Indianapolis, he opened the “Melody Music Academy” to inspire students in his community, which became the first music academy in the Burmese community in the US. His goals are to inspire, and encourage students and emerge as a person who paved the way for music education for younger generations and more generations to come.

About Melody Music Academy

Melody Music Academy was established on March 1, 2023, and it is on the south side of Indianapolis.

Our location is at 2456 E stop 11 Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227.

We also host a recital every four months for the student which allows them to show their progress, and give trophies and certificates of achievements at their own level. Besides recital, we also have a home report sent for each student every month, which provides feedback and communications to the parents on their children's progress. Lastly, we also provide free lessons to students every 2nd Saturday of the month. In these free lessons, we encourage students to explore music theory, music rhythm, and sign-reading music notes.
